How to Be Inversion Free Course
Instructions

1. What It Means to Be Inversion Free Lecture

In this lecture, we will dive into the specific group of students who can benefit from this method and discuss essential considerations for their safety and well-being. Additionally, we will explore precautions related to pranayama and bandha practices.

In the Modules you’ll find the following:

2. Tutorial Videos

These videos will guide you through multiple options on how to modify or adjust poses that either are full out inversions or have a potential to bring the head below the heart.
After each module there will be an assignment to complete.
The assignments will have to be submitted electronically via a link so I suggest using Google Docs, Dropbox or similar service.

3. Practice Your Modifications Workshop Classes

At the end of modules 1-6, you’ll find a “Practice Your Modifications Workshop Class” toward the bottom of the module page. This is a full length class for you to experiment with the modifications and embody them. It also serves as an example of a full class for an inversion free practitioner.  Physically do the class so you can feel the options for yourself.
You can also find them at the very bottom of this page.

4. Assignments

You will need to submit written assignments for each module. (Link is below)

There is one video submission required as well.
You can upload it to your Google Drive, to YouTube, Vimeo, or any other video hosting site that provides links.  Make sure you set it to an unlisted setting or ‘anyone who has the link can view’ setting.

These assignments are required in order to get your certificate to submit for continuing education hours with Yoga Alliance.

Any questions on the module can be asked when you submit your assignments or email me at:  hollyrjahnyoga@gmail.com

5. Yoga Asana Reference Book

Included with this course is a comprehensive Yoga Asana Reference Book with images of the poses covered in the tutorial videos.
Do NOT use this reference book without learning what’s in the modules.
It is important to know that the book only contains minimal cues and watching the tutorial videos will give you a more complete understanding of the modifications and adjustments and what to look for as you’re teaching.
It is both a downloadable pdf file for your smartphone or tablet and it’s printable.
Be forewarned, it is 60+ pages, so make sure you have enough paper & ink  😉

Upon completion of the course you will be empowered to use your new skillset so that you can help people with an inversion aversion continue to practice yoga confidently.

Happy Learning!
